WTF?!? I've got a Blog

I really wish Facebook was more like a simple blog. I don't need to know every time one of my friends accepts someone new as a friend or comments on a photo of someone I've never met or will never meet. I'd be happy to check in on my "friends" occasionally. Or when something special happens they'd like me to know about, they could "poke" me.  I also don't want to seem so self important that I think adding a photo of a friend and me at lunch is newsworthy beyond my small world. So, if I want to brag about a new recipe, bitch about something or show you something really cool, I wanted a different format.So, I went and create this blog. How insane, self-absorbed is that?  Go figure.
